AUTHENTICITY
WHAT IS AUTHENTICITY?
Authenticity is crucial to many aspects of our everyday lives. From the emotions we feel to how we engage in relationships and connections with others, to why and how certain situations make us act, to even assessing what we are really good at - and maybe what we really aren't.
Authenticity is what makes us human; it builds communities, encourages diversity, and pushes innovation. Without it, our lives would be pretty bland. When a regular practice of authenticity is missing from our day-to-day life, we may feel a lack of self-purpose or worth. It can also be hard for our communities to understand or engage with us.
Authenticity can be overwhelming to think about since it is a rather broad concept. With so many aspects and ways that authenticity can be brought into our lives, how can we fully wrap our heads around it? The next four factors will explain what components make up authenticity and how you can take small steps to practice that factor in your everyday life.
